Design Sample: Zumbathon to Benefit HomeAID for Africa

This event, which provides blankets and school supplies to kids in Malawi Africa through the non-profit HomeAID for Africa, has grown from an annual to a semi-annual in just two years. Its popularity is so great that tickets are often sold out. This event is promoted throughout Chester County on various website and blogs as well as through printed posters and personal handouts.

The goal of the posters and handouts is to appeal to a target audience of existing Zumba enthusiasts as well as to attract anyone who might be curious about what Zumba is all about. Zumba is dance exercise that is set to Latin and International music.

Design Sample: V. Matora Christy Memorial Organ Brochure

When this organ was donated and dedicated, the event was written up in all the local newspapers and widely publicized. As time passed, the details of this extraordinary gift faded from the "latest news" to "matters of historical record". This brochure was designed to preserve the details of an instrument that is not only enjoyed by the congregation of Grove Church each Sunday, but also by the community at large when attending annual organ concerts and other events that utilize it.

Design Sample: Grove Seasonal Facebook Banners

The client sought to provide a fresh appearance to their Facebook page by uploading new Facebook banners to loosely coordinate with the seasons and Methodist calendar. This strategy has worked well for them and the same design choices are often unified with their Constant Contact email efforts.

Design Sample: Grove Community Dinner

This newly introduced once-per-month event serves both the congregation and local families in need. It was my pleasure to help the group produce an overall look and feel for the event. The products produced to promote this event to different target audiences included posters, yard signs, flyers and placemats. Attendance continues to grow and initially over 80 people have been served each month.

Design Sample: Save the Barclay Grounds

The residents in the neighborhood surrounding the Barclay Estate are working tirelessly to save the beautiful grounds from development. The grounds have been open to the public for 80 years and these residents hope it will stay that way. From time to time informational and fundraising events are held.
